Panama Rated Best Place to Retire

Published by Michael Flora On January 16, 2016

PANAMA: The best place to retire in 2016

It is usually seen that deciding the place to spend some quality time, is difficult for a retired couple than those who are currently employed and are on vacations. However, it is no more a difficult decision to take for those who know about Panama. According to International Living’s Annual Global Retirement Index for 2016, Panama is titled as the best place to retire. The American couple, who is no more working and want to spend the life in harmony, can live in Panama beside the beach and have the fruits and vegetables from farmer`s market all over the year.

It is observed that elderly people are choosier and they cannot adjust everywhere like the young couple can. Panama has taken care of that too. The healthcare service, the fast internet service, the warm climate, and a cozy place to live: Panama is just a complete package. It is the most affordable place to live with just $1,500 per month with all the facilities a retired couple can wish to have without sacrificing the other facilities of their life. The high affordability and the abundance of amenities are the reasons for which Panama was rated as the best place to retire this year.

The best 10 places, where a couple may retire, according to International Living’s Global Retirement Index 2016 are Panama, Ecuador, Mexico, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Colombia, Thailand, Nicaragua, Spain, and Portugal. Retirement Index is the best way to look for the place to retire. The Retirement Index did the research for about a month along with their team members. After which they provided the list of the best 10 places to retire and rated Panama as the best. This research is more widespread than ever before because the Retirement Index asked more question from the people and the range of the questions was also wide. This shows us that Panama is rated genuinely and it is the people who have rated Panama as the best country to retire in 2016. Panama have already more that 50,000 US residents and most of them were questioned about the country. Panama was rated the highest in the 10 categories which include buying and renting property, visas and residence, cost of living, environment and amenities, health care, infrastructure, and climate. Healthy lifestyle and visas and residence are the 2 categories which are added this year. The team members of Retirement Index observed the change in trend of living and that people now choose to live in the country which has ample of these two facilities.

Warm climate, fast internet service, all the basic facilities, and a cozy house in just $1,500 can be a dream for an American retired couple. The couple, who has spent their life in working for themselves and for their children, has these wishes now. All they want is a harmonious and peaceful life without the sacrifice of any facility. Retirement Index has done a great job for them by finding the top 10 places. They, now, can easily decide to go to Panama to spend their rest of the life in happiness and have the happy ending.
